Today saw the placement of an order on local construction company
PE Davis and Sons. The order is to undertake works to create a raised eating area on the East Elevation of building 22 (B-Shed). The design utilises reclaimed timber taken from the demolition of building 75 office block; the idea is to form a raised seating area filled with decorative stone and picnic benches.
This use of reclaimed timbers (that are currently being prepared by our on site Estate Mainteance Contractor
Emcor UK Ltd.) from a now demolished building that was commissioned by the late Robert Blackburn, will then be complimented by a graffiti mural created by the team at
Spray Creative. This piece of artwork will pay homage to Robert and some of his greatest achievements.
Watch this space for updates in the coming weeks.
