HEP Announce UKRO 2017 Sponsorship

13th February 2017
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service are proudly hosting the United Kingdom Rescue Organisation (UKRO) National Challenge in 2017 as part of the Hull City of Culture celebrations.  The Humber Enterprise Park is equally proud to announce that we are sponsoring this year’s event.

The Challenge will take place on the 8th  and 9th September 2017 at two locations; namely, the KCOM Stadium and Princes Quay Shopping Centre. Five rescue disciplines make up the main body of the challenge format. These disciplines are; extrication, trauma, rope, urban search and rescue and water. By far the largest element of the challenge will be the extrication discipline, which attracts competitors from fire and rescue services across the UK and abroad.

As the UKRO Challenge 2017 will form part of the Hull City of Culture 2017 celebrations, the main venue for the event will be the KCOM Stadium in the centre of city, to allow for a large community safety event to take place in support of the competition and to allow HFRS to engage with the public to raise awareness around key road, fire and water safety messages.
